Beloved husband of Naheel Rafeedie for 50 years of marriage.

Loving father of Nadeem”John” (and wife, Helen),Victor (and wife, Manal), Michael (and wife, Martha) and Steven Rafeedie.

Brother of Jaser (and wife, Widad) and Said (and wife, Blanca) Rafidi.

Devoted grandfather of Abigail Naheel, Michael Basem, Jr. and Matthew Basem Rafeedie.

Son of the late Zaheia and Nicola Rafidi.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Rafeedie was born November 5, 1936, in El Bireh, Palestine and immigrated to the United States in 1961. He owned and operated a Grocery Business in Mid-City and Paris Ave. for many years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. Basil Orthodox Church 3916 Hudson St. Metairie, Louisiana 70006 on Monday afternoon January 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.

A visitation will be held on Sunday evening January 16, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, and after 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery
