Betty Joyce Greco LaDouceur departed this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at East Jefferson General Hospital. A New Orleans native and resident of Kenner for the past 55 years. She was 82 years old. Beloved wife of the late George A. LaDouceur and loving mother of Darlene Celestin (Philip) and Cynthia LaDouceur(companion, Alan Cargile). Dearest grandmother of Ashley Pizani (Jason), Scott Celestin, Alan Hughie-Cargile LaDouceur and Heather Woodard (Antony). Great grandmother of Nicolas and Marisa Pizani and Josiah Woodard. Born to the late Salvadore Greco, Sr. and Genevieve Rogora Patterson. Sister of the late Salvadore Greco, Jr. (Charliene) and sister-in-law of the late Marion LaDouceur (Carl). Loving aunt of Judy Broussard, Ronald Greco and Tena Dupree. Devoted friend of Lois Jacobi and the late Janice Blaise. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.

She dearly loved her friends and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her Idaho Ave. card club and “The Golden Girls”. She was an Avon representative since 1971 and continued working until her death. She enjoyed life and kept up an active life style.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Thursday, February 23, 2012 , at 1:00 PM. Visitation from 11:00 am until funeral time. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum, New Orleans, LA.
