Betty Ann Freeman Schindler

Betty Ann Freeman Schindler passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday evening, March 21, 2015. She was 73 years old. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Christian “Jay” Schindler. Loving mother of Dana Chancellor (Glen) and Nicole Schindler (Dale Bryan). Grandmother of Jenna Chancellor and Christian Chancellor. Sister of William Freeman (Esther), Diane Schindler Delise, and the late Diane Key. Daughter of the late Eugene and Lillian Prejean Freeman. Aunt of Paul Delise and Angelle Delise Schexnaydre Betty was a native of Gretna, and resident of Kenner for over 44 years. She worked for National Bank of Commerce for 10 years, and later became a preschool teacher at John Calvin. She was also a 46 year member of the “Tuesday Night Card Group.” Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, on Saturday morning, March 28, 2015 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:30.
