Bien was born on January 1, 1927 in Bac Lieu, Vietnam to the late Ta Van Ty and Nguyen Thi Lai. During the war-time in Vietnam, she worked tirelessly to support her family. She was a good business woman.

Bien and her husband Phuc were married in 1957 and spent so many years bringing joy to each other’s lives. She lived in Saigon Vietnam and re-settled to New Orleans in 1975. Bien retired as a sous-chef at Western New Orleans Hotel after many years of working. After her retirement she enjoyed spending times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was always a kind-hearted person, lived a simple life, and loved spending time with family members. She was an avid gardener, loved roses, and enjoyed cooking. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Due to the difficulties presented by the current Coronavirus pandemic, the family will have a private service to celebrate Bien’s life. Please join them at www.LeitzEaganFuneralHome.com to share condolences and memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
