Carlo Marino

Carlo Marino, age 82 years, passed away at his Metairie, LA residence on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 9:00 PM. Beloved husband of Mary Catherine Bodenheimer Marino. Father of Anthony (Patricia) Marino and Ken Marino (friend of Michael Lechleiter). Son of the late Sam Marino and Geraldine Gondolfo Marino. Brother of the late Gloria Wagner. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mr. Marino was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a Purple Heart recipient for being wounded in the Chosin Reservoir battle. He was former owner of Marino Taxicab Meter Shop, former safety director and taxicab driver for United Cab Company and was a longtime member of American Legion Post 175 of Metairie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Fr. Frank Canalisa officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors.
