Capt. Carlos P. Enriquez, Jr., passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2018, at his home in Kenner, LA. He is survived by Ana, his wife of 24 years; his children Vanessa, Carlos, Val, Lorenzo and Carla; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Ava, Michael, Gavin, Matthew and Francis, and loving family and friends.
Carlos was born in the Philippines and proudly became an American citizen in 1993. His professional career spanned over 50 years of dedicated service to the maritime industry, from merchant marine cadet to captain. He spent the last 20 years as a marine surveyor with the National Cargo Bureau. His tireless work ethic earned the respect of his family, friends, and colleagues. Although well travelled, he enjoyed going to the movies and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 27th at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana, 70006, with visitation starting at 10am and a memorial service at 11am; burial to follow at Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70124.
