Carolyn Grethe Simpson, age 92, of Cortlandt Manor, New York passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Carolyn was born in New Orleans, LA on January 4, 1933. She graduated from S.J. Peters High School and was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church and Shrine in Metairie, LA. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Carolyn worked as an Assistant Bookkeeper for South Central Bell & Telephone Company for 15 years.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Simpson; her parents, Alexander and Anna Grethe; her brother, Alexander Grethe, Jr.; and her sisters, Thais Grethe and Jean Comeaux.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Simpson; her son-in-law, Byron Menegakis; and her granddaughter, Natalie Menegakis.
Carolyn will be laid to rest next her husband Jack at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum in New Orleans, LA.
