Charlie Tapia

Charlie passed away at home after an evening celebrating life with his friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Tapia, and dear aunt, Gloria Balsamo Mead. Charlie lives on through his children, Daniel, Elizabeth and Michael Tapia, his grandchildren, Kannon Wilcox, “Bubby” Tapia, David Whipple Jr., and Jru Tapia. He is survived by his siblings, Leslea Tapia-Parker and Jon Tapia, their children and his mother, Betty Balsamo Tapia. Charlie’s love of family and friends was grounded by a simple foundation of pursuing happiness and enjoying the small moments of connection between us all. He had an avid appreciation of automobiles and found great joy in his work as an automotive service advisor.

Charlie’s children invite all those who knew him to celebrate his life at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. on Monday, May 8, 2023. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 pm.
