Cheryl White Toepfer was born January 8, 1958 in Richmond, CA and passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her home, alongside her family, at the age of 55. She became happily married on February 3, 1988 and is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Mark J. Toepfer. She is also survived by her loving mother, Connie Semlow-Purdie (William) and sister, Bonnie Ugulano (Pete) and is preceded in death by her father Arthur Truman White and her sister Teresa Marie White. She leaves behind two daughters, Tessa Dixon (James) and Jescica Morris and two step-children, Randall Toepfer (Cleta) and Chantall Toepfer-Sevin (Jerry); along with three nieces Ashely, Angela and Alysia Ugulano. She also leaves behind her greatest pride and joy, her surviving grandchildren, Cody Morris and Cameron Daigle. Cheryl graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Education (Math) at the University of New Orleans, 1998, and completed her Master's Degree in Education (Math) at Liberty University; graduating May of 2011 with high honors. She was fully committed to many students she taught over the years providing them with much guidance and a sensible approach to life. It was evident she made an impact on the students she encountered as many of them stayed in touch with her over the years. Her most recent place of employment was Gretna Middle School, Grenta, LA. Cheryl's biggest pride and joy was that of her grandchildren, Cody and Cameron. They both brought a greater meaning of life to her and she was a big part of who they are now. She invested most of her time to both her grandson's and to Cody with their shared love of Baseball. Her life often revolved around her grandson's sports schedules. She will be forever remembered by the many members of the baseball teams Cody was a part of over the years, who all knew her as "MeMe". She was a fixture on the sidelines; so much so that during a short period she even ran a small family business called Kid Sports Photography because she had a love for photography too. It was a way to bring the family together for baseball events, be there for every game Cody played and document the other team member's successes on the field for their parents. As Cameron has grown she was also very involved in the many different sports he participated in too. She also enjoyed playing cards, Pinochle and Euker, with her family members and two fun loving Uncle's, Richard and Duane. To those who knew her well she was always a very generous and sincere person. Over the years she has made a positive impact on many people and will forever be remembered as a wonderful and loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and her biggest role as the beloved "MeMe".
