Charles and I send our deepest sympathies to Cheril and Cheri for the loss of your dad.  Cliff was a unique man with a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all although we have some great memories as neighbors.

I met cliff through our mutual friend Jan Morel(Maudie). He was such a character and watching the two of them together made me laugh. Even though I didn't know him for long, I could tell how special he was by the way Jan spoke of him. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Thanks to everyone that showed up today to honor my father.I know he was looking down upon us today and was grateful to have such wonderful family and friends.Your support got my family through this sad day and for that I am truly thankful.

Even in our sorrow, we must hold on to the thought that
a life lived with so much love never really ends, but goes
on forever in the hearts of those who remember.

No one can deny that Cliff lived larger than life.

He shared that trait with his family when they were young; spur of the moment jaunts off to Disney or the beach.  He shared that trait with friends that have walked with him in life; as age was no deterrent. Never afraid to grasp for what he wanted; never afraid to share.  Never would he give up dreaming; nor living.  He never gave up.  And, he is still living. Still living through all of us.

He has left so much for us to remember.  Hundreds of pictures spanning almost 70 years.  Oh, he loved photos making sure we won't forget.  He was generous, the gifts that will last by passing down from daughter to grandchild to great grandchild. 

Yes, Cliff is going to be with us as he will not go away.  We don't want him to and he won't.  Look at the faces of his daughters.  Look into their eyes.  Listen to what they say.  Watch what they do.  If you do you will see that Cliff is in them.  Smile and reminisce the fond memories.  We will all one day share them together again……

I have known your father for the past 55 some odd years.  I graduated from Warren Easton High School with him. We were the Class of '56.

Your father attended all of the class reunions that I put together except for the one last year when he informed me that he was not doing to well.

I frequently sent him email jokes and he responded inkind.  Last week they were returned for lack of bad email address.  I called him and it said that it was temporarily disconnected.

I am so sorry for all of you and our classmates.  Your father was a classy guy and a great friend.

Alexis, I am so sorry for your and your family's loss. I am certain that everyone who got the chance to spend time with Mr. Cliff, were probably enjoying his company. I was sadden to learn of the loss of your father.  Cliff has been a wonderful neighbor for the last 7 years.  I remember how we both moved here right before "Katrina". We often spoke as to how lucky we were to have made the move to the Savannahs when we did.  Cliff was so helpful and thoughtful....always ready to lend a helping hand if he could.  I love my grandpa dearly and it kills me inside to know that he is gone. But I know he is in a better place now with his family. I will never forget my grandfather and what we did together I will cherish all the memories we have had. I love you.

Where do you start with a man like Mr. Cliff Carey. They often say when a person passes away that they were larger then life. He was a prime example of life in its own.He was not only a great bussiness man but an even better person.(He could sell ice to an eskimo). I was blessed in knowing Mr. Cliff for over 20 Years.His qualities which were many were instilled in his daughters Cheri and Cheril.He did a great job. My condolences to them. And now heaven will be a better place such as here on earth was. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

To my beloved fatheri it's  only been a couple of days since you've passed and I am already feeling the pain of your absence. The only thing getting. me through this is the thought of you being in Heaven with God and your family and knowing that one day we will be together again for eternity.
