Connie Marquez Wahlen

Connie Marquez Wahlen, age 73, of Metairie, LA passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Connie was born on November 6, 1951 in New Orleans, LA to Henry and Irma Schwank Marquez. Connie grew up in the Irish Channel part of New Orleans, she worked as the Assistant Bookstore Manager at Delgado Community College and worked as the Office Manager at Forstall Art Supply in New Orleans. Connie was involved in the Jefferson Parish Senior Citizen Center.

Connie enjoyed crocheting, gardening and watching LSU and Saints games.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Irma Marquez; and her sister, Fay Miller.

Survivors include her beloved husband for 50 years, Robert J. "Bobby" Wahlen; her children, Timothy Wahlen and Lisa W. Tzerefos (Nick); her grandchildren, Adelaide and Vivian Tzerefos; her sister, Linda Leboutillier (Leonard); and her brother-in-law, Louie Wahlen.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 6:00pm. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
