Constantine (Mickey) Mickey Andre Roques Sr.

Constantine (Mickey) Andre Roques, Sr., age 80, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Canon Hospice after a brief illness. He was born on October 12, 1930 in Metairie , La. Preceded in death by his parents Rene and Alberta Bremermann Roques as well as his sister, Althea Roques Verdun and his son Paul Frank Roques Sr. Mickey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Antoinette Loria Roques; his brothers, Rene and Maurice Roques, his sister Adele Roques Mitchell; and his children and their spouses: Constantine (Chris) and Caroline Roques, Paul (deceased) and Darlene Vidrine Roques, Carl and Joann Beeson Roques, Catherine Roques, John and Leslie Crippin Roques, and Steven and Michelle Jones Roques. "PawPaw" enjoyed and was extremely proud of each of his grandchildren , Rusty, Carrie, Christopher, Paul, Sarah, Jennifer, Blake, Carl, Darbie, Spencer, and Seth and his great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Lindsey, and Emily Guidry. Mickey served his country as an Airman First Class in the Air National Guard of the United States Air Force and was a member of Carpenter’s Local # 1846. He worked for Gervais Favrot Construction Co. for 37 years. Mickey was a Boy Scout leader at St. Francis Xavier and a parishioner of St. Ann Church in Metairie.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Lakelawn Park Mausoleum . Express condolences at www.Gardenofmemoriesfuneralhome.com.
