Consuelo Julia Roy Luwisch

Consuelo Julia Roy Luwisch, age 80, entered into rest on Monday, December 8, 2014 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Luwisch was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Jefferson, LA. Beloved wife of the late James Luwisch, Jr. Mother of Robert W. Luwisch and the late Kathleen Elaine Luwisch. Grandmother of Victoria Luwisch, Christina Luwisch and James Luwisch. Daughter of the late Irwin Anthony Roy and Julia Anita Martinez Dowty. Step daughter of the late Robert Dowty. Sister of the late Irvin A. Roy. Mrs. Luwisch was a member of American Legion Post No. 267 Woman’s Auxiliary and was a parishioner of St. Agnes Church. Mrs. Luwisch was an avid traveler, gardener and was very charitable and creative. She was a talented seamstress and crafter and an extremely loving and adoring grandmother. Mrs. Luwisch was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday evening, December 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday morning, December 12, 2014 at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Hwy in Jefferson, LA beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
