Craig Joseph Schexnayder, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on June 27,1959 to the late Roland and Joyce Schexnayder.
Craig is survived by his sister, Debbie (Leo) Olivier; his nieces, Angela (Chris) Rippetoe, and Suzanne (Bubba) Kidder; his grandnieces, Molly and Harper and his grandnephews, Levi and Tucker.
He was born in Baton Rouge and lived in New Orleans. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated from the University of Southwest Louisiana in history. Craig worked in the hospitality industry and was a member of Friends of the Cabildo and Patio Planters in the French Quarter and was an avid volunteer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church, 130 Baronne St. in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be in All Saints Mausoleum located in Metairie Cemetery.
