Dale Raymond St. John Sr.

Dale Raymond St. John, Sr. entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Martin St. John of 58 years and his beloved children Jan (Wayne) Krennerich, Dr. Nancy (Dr. Greg) Mula, Peggy A.F.S.C., Dale Jr. (Lee), Dr. Patti, Bobby. Preceded in death by his son, Wayne St. John. Proud grandfather of Dr. Emily and Sarah Krennerich, Laura (Aaron) Cummins, Madeleine (Griffin) Lewis, Camille (David) Kent, Gregory Jr. and Cecilia Mula, Dale III and Abigail St. John. Great-grandfather of Liam and Hudson Lewis. Brother of William (Jean) St.John, Jr., Warren St. John (Gail Lamarca), Barbara Manning, and Robert St. John (Betty). Brother-in-law of Thomas and JoAnn Piglia and the late Margaret St. John and Red Manning. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dale’s courage was evident during his battle with Parkinson’s disease for the last five years.

He was born on October 1, 1935 and was the beloved son of the late Delia and William St. John, Sr. He graduated from Redemptorist High School and was a member of the TAK organization. During high school he was a member of the Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams. Dale served his country as a Marine Reservist. He was co-owner of St. John Brothers Freight Forwarding for 20 years. Dale had a passion for golf especially enjoying his time as a member of Ormond Country Club for many years. He was a very hard-working, kind and generous man who was loved by anyone who met him. He enriched the lives of those he loved and we are all blessed for having had him in our lives.Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation from 10am to noon at St. Ann Church in Metairie on Friday, March 18th. Funeral mass will be at noon. Burial will follow in St. Patrick #1 Cemetery. Masses preferred at St. Ann or St. Rita Cascia Church or donations may be made to National Parkinson’s Foundation.
