Deborah M. O'Neal

Deborah M. O’Neal, 58, passed away after struggling with health issues for the past few months on Saturday, October 26, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 15, 1954 to Alfred and Myrtle Lively in New Orleans, where, in 1979, she met her first husband, the late David G. O’Neal Sr. Together they had four children: three daughters, Shannon O’Neal, Penny O’Neal and Christy O’Neal and a son, David G. O’Neal, Jr. who passed away at age 15 in 1998. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Madison, Kathleen and Kaley.

Despite life’s common struggles, Debbie kept a positive attitude and could often be found smiling. She was loved by so many and will be truly missed for her bubbly, quirky, kind, and at times, feisty personality. The faith and strength she showed through her final moments will never be forgotten.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 3, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Interment will be at a later date in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens in Chesapeake, VA.
