Debra "Tuta" Tompkins

Debra “Tuta” Tompkins, was granted her angel wings on February 5, 2015. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Debra had touched in some way throughout her memorable life. Her smile and laugh will forever be in our hearts. Debra was cared for by her grandmother, Camille “Tuta” Hernandez and her aunt Nancy (Ronnie). She leaves behind her mother, Earline Hotard; sisters, Earline Duplessis (Gary) and Diane Louque (Alvin); brother, John Vizcaino; uncles, Earl (Joyce), Jacob “Black” and the late Charles “Joe”; her companion of 30 years, Danny Pollard and numerous loving relatives and friends. Born and raised in the Irish Channel she was a member of the 11th Ward Ladies Social Club and loved to play Bingo and Dance. Member of the Life House Church. She will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Wake at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 am with the Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
