Donald "Jake" Guidry

Donald “Jake” Guidry passed away peacefully at Canon Hospice on Saturday morning, February 21, 2015. He was 67 years old. Son of Enola Guidry and the late Hilton Guidry. Father of Logan Guidry and daughter-in-law Heather Harper. Brother of Barbara Guidry, Brenda Decker, Rose Orgeron, and Hilton J. Guidry. Uncle of Renee, Damon, Jessica, Rachel and Isabella. Great-uncle of Amber, Michael, Miles, Maye-lynne, Julia, Dylan, Austin, Gage and Skyla. Former husband and companion of Judy Sprinkle. He was a native of Golden Meadow, and lived in the New Orleans area for over forty years. Jake proudly served in the United States Army for four years, and later graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans. He worked for over 20 years in his family’s tugboat business, Hilton Marine Towing, and later worked in the field of Business Administration and Human Resources until his retirement. Jake was a loyal member of the Who Dat Nation and a proud Cajun. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon.
