Doretta "Dee" Aucoin Shall

Born on November 28, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dee was the beloved daughter of Clebert and Oville Aucoin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Dee attended Martin Behrman High School and graduated with the Class of 1970. She worked for JCFA for over 12 years, where she was deeply loved by both the teachers and students whose lives she touched each day. Dee cherished her family above all else and found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clebert and Oville Aucoin, and her brother, Carl Aucoin.

She is survived by Raymond Shall; her children, Peyton Martiny (Steven), Lauren McCulloch (Will), Ellen Restrepo (Alex), and Yvonne Sartin; and her treasured grandchildren, Molly and Charlotte Martiny, William, Henry, and George McCulloch, Max Restrepo, and Barry Sartin III. She is also survived by her siblings, Danny Aucoin, Barbara Heitmeier (Larry), Lynn Richoux (Alan), and Madeline Read, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Rd., Metairie, LA 70005. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery.

Dee will be remembered for her strength, kindness, love of family, and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
