

Doris “Dodie” Wicker Landreaux, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 12, 2016. Beloved wife of the late George D. Landreaux for over 40 years. Loving mother of Viet Moll and Terida Smith. Proud grandmother of Rachel and Cameron Smith and Cpl. Brent and Jarred Moll. Daughter of the late Theodore R. and Marguerite Wicker. Sister of Horace Wicker (Janet), James Wicker (Evelyn), George Wicker (Artemese), Beverly Buggage (Terry) and the late Malcolm Wicker. Niece of Robert Williams. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Doris graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1958 and earned her associate degree in nursing at LSU and continued on to receive her Bachelor of Science at Alabama State University. She retired from Touro Infirmary after 40 years of service. Doris enjoyed traveling and the fellowship at Berean Bible Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00am. Visitation from 9:00am until time of service. Interment at Garden of Memories cemetery with a reception immediately following at Leitz-Eagan.
