Dulce M. Labrador

Dulce M. Labrador passed away on September 24, 2020 at the age of 91. She has now rejoined her late husband, Andres Armando Labrador, in their heavenly home. She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, her children; Cela L. McPherson (Glenn A. McPherson) and José R. Labrador (Diane F. Labrador), her grandchildren; Catherine L. Ratard, Robyn Ronen, Miguel L. Labrador and Adele Labrador Melancon, her great-grandchildren; Sabrina Lafleur, Sebastien Ratard, Sabien Ratard and Logan L. Labrador, her brother Reinaldo Cabanas and her sister-in-law, Dalia Banos. She is also preceded in death by her parents; José Cabanas and Maria Trinidad Garcia. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Dulce was always a hard worker, she often would refer to her loyal clients as her second family. She was a successful hairdresser, for many years, only retiring a few short years ago. From a young age she always enjoyed painting and cooking. Her family will be sure to miss her wonderful cooking and the many times they spent on Sundays when she would get everybody together.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10AM till 1:45PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd Metairie, LA 70006. There will be a graveside service held at 2:15 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude’s Hospital in honor of Dulce.
