Edward Andrew Berggren III

Edward “Eddie” Berggren III, age 44, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2017. He is preceded in death by the late Michelle Mitchell Berggren, and his grandparents; Thelma Wahl Berggren and Edward Berggren, Sr. He is survived by his loving daughter; Abbie Renee Berggren, and parents; Edward A. Berggren, Jr. (Marcella) and Deborah Dawson, his sister; Tina Gagliano Pullin (Bryan), grandmother-in-law; Betty Blanke, brother-in-law; Wesley Mitchell (Becky), uncles; David Berggren and Harry Berggren (Kathy) who was another father figure in his life, aunts; Florence Lory and Jessie Berggren, nieces and nephew; Taylor and Sarah Gagliano, Elizabeth Schnabel, Wesley Mitchell, Jr. and Kaley Mitchell, great nephew; Beaux Penton and cousins; Harry Jr., Erica, Jade, Kaelyn, Kamryn and Jayce. He was a Longshoreman and was a member of the Local 3000. He was an avid biker, a jack of all trades and a master of almost all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday February 23, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am. Internment will take place immediately following at the Valence Street Cemetery, 2000 Valence Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.
