Elaine Puchot Rusich

Elaine Puchot Rusich passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the age of 94. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Thomas Rusich, Sr. for 70 years. Mother of Lawrence T. Rusich, Jr., Gary Rusich (wife, Robin) and Bryon Rusich (wife, Miriam). Grandmother of Daniel Rusich (wife, Ashley), Cory Rusich and Lulu Rusich. Great-grandmother of Chloe Rusich and Riley Rusich. Daughter of the late Felix Puchot and Bernadine Laine Puchot. Sister of June Carter (husband, the late Gerald) and the late Robert Puchot (wife, the late Maxine). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Sharon Heintz, who assisted with Elaine’s care. Elaine retired from New Orleans Traffic Court. She was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday morning, February 3, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
