Erby Michael Aucoin III

Erby Michael Aucoin, III passed away after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the age of 60. Erby was an extraordinary man who traveled the world during his nearly 30 years in the oil and gas industry. He was currently employed as maintenance supervisor at the Victorian Condominiums. A position he sincerely coined as the perfect retirement job. The joy in his life were his friends and his favorite hobbies included playing guitar, singing, playing pool and golf. This loving and humble man is survived by his beloved mother, Rosalie Tullier Aucoin, sisters Jayne Aucoin Dominique, Cynthia Aucoin Phillips (husband Brian), Patricia Aucoin Couvillion (husband Michael), Deidre Aucoin Bensimon (husband Al), Michelle Aucoin Stieffel (husband, Frank), brothers Albert A. Aucoin (wife Janis) and Douglas L. Aucoin (wife Angela). He was preceded in death by his father Erby M. Aucoin, Jr. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, chosen son Chris Theard and his daughter Hailey, a plethora of friends he lovingly referred to as his second family. The family would like to thank Dr. Matrana, Dr. Hawkins, Dr. Satti, Dr. Breaux as well as the 8th floor Oncology nurses at Ochsner Medical Center. Our gratitude is extended to Passages Hospice, especially Stephanie Abbott, RN for the TLC they provided.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie from 7:00 pm until 8:30pm
