

Erma Georgette Joubert Kreller passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. She was 89 years old. Georgette was born December 20, 1923, in New Orleans, LA. Daughter of the late George Luis Joubert and Anida Clause Joubert and sister of the late J. Henry Joubert. She was married for 54 years to Matthew Jacob Kreller, Jr. and is survived by two daughters, Laurie Kreller Abadie (Ben, III) and Madeleine Neske Rowlison (Milton). She is survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Georgette was a member and past Council president of the Little Farms Home Demonstration Club, charter member of the Little Farms Civic Association, founding member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church Parish, troop leader for the Southeast Louisiana Girl Scout Council, Red Cross First Aid Instructor and volunteer, member of the Little Farms Lions Club Auxiliary and a member of the LSU Extension Homemakers Club. A graduate of UNO, Georgette spent most of her teaching years at St. Agnes Elementary School and Live Oak Manor Elementary School in Waggaman. The family would like to thank the staff of Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan, LA for the six years of loving kindness they gave to Georgette.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed immediately by a Catholic Funeral Mass. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be sent to the Southeast Louisiana Girl Scout Council in Georgette’s honor.
