AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Floyd Noah Guidry Sr.

19 avril 1926 – 6 février 2021
Avis de décès de Floyd Noah Guidry Sr.
AUX SOINS DE

Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home

Floyd Noah Guidry Sr. (1926-2021) entered into eternal rest on February 6, at 94 years old. He was born in New Orleans, to Noah Pierre and Gertrude Guidry, living most of his life in Jefferson Parish. He enlisted in the U.S Navy at 17, serving in WWII on the USS Mellette as Coxswain mate. He received The American Campaign and Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, two stars, a Victory medal, and a Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal. He was a charter member of American Legion Post 267.

When he returned to Jefferson Parish after WWII, he graduated from Jefferson High and married Elizabeth (Mickey) Tacke, who preceded him in death. Together, they had two daughters, Elizabeth (Ann) White (Glenn), Cynthia Saterfiel (John), and a son, Floyd Jr. (Peggy). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Faye Saterfiel, Erin Saterfiel Clesi (Mike), Lauren White, Timothy Guidry (Dana), and Katelyn Meyer (Ryan); six great grandchildren, Hope Chauvin (Lance), Michael Clesi, Noah, Beau, and Cohen Guidry, and Graham Meyer and a great-great grandchild, Payton Chauvin.

"Mac" was of small stature but big heart; he was always happy and loved making those around him laugh. He worked at Bohn Ford and Interstate Ford. In retirement, he adored working in the yard and woodworking. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife (his "buddy") of 60 years, his kids, and his grandkids.

He was interred in Garden of Memories in a private service. The family requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice. The online guestbook is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
