Frances Murphy

Frances Murphy passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday evening, April 23, 2015 after a brief illness. She was 88 years old. Beloved wife of the late Cyril E. Murphy for 25 years. Loving mother of Ann Taylor (Bobby), Caryl Massicot (Jim), and Timothy Murphy (Cindy). Grandmother of Maggie Boasberg, Katie Barton, Joey Simone, Matthew Simone, Kellen Murphy, Connor Murphy, Michelle Lignieres. Sister of the late Katherine Koehler and Joan Adolph. Also survived by six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans. She has been a parishioner of St. Agnes for over 64 years, where she was a member of the Altar Society. Frances will be dearly remembered for her generosity, loyalty, and unconditional love and commitment to her family and friends. The family would like to thank Ville St. Marie for providing such a wonderful home during the past seven years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass in her memory from ST. AGNES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, on Monday morning, April 27, 2015 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00 in church.
