Frances Calcagno Malbrough Prince

Frances Calcagno Malbrough Prince, age 95, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Carriere, MS. She was the beloved wife of the late Ettienne (Jack) Malbrough, her first husband, also was the beloved wife of the late Charles S. Prince, her second husband. Frances was the daughter of the late Josephine Calcagno and the sister of the late Isabel Tripoli. Frances is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Malbrough Mixon; her son, Jack Malbrough; her daughter-in-law, Michele, 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Frances was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, LA for over 60 years. In 2006, she moved to Carriere, MS. Frances was a 1935 graduate of John McDonald Girl’s High School. She retired from CIT Finance, which was formerly Home Finance for 33 years. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Church, a member of St. Ann’s over 50’s Club , AARP Lakeshore Chapter 3902, Chapell Knights of Columbus #3452 and Dario 29. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered or memorial contributions may be sent to the Knights of Columbus.
