Francisca "Paquita" Perez de Lopez

Francisca Perez de Lopez passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 95. "Paquita" as she was affectionately called, was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain on May 29, 1930, and lived in Kenner, LA for the past 23 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Antonieta Rivas Lopez; her three granddaughters, Karla Rivas Lopez, Marietta Rivas Lopez, and Cristina Rivas Lopez; a brother, Eleuterio "Elin" Troncone Company and two sisters, Rosario Perez Company and Maria Antonieta Troncone Company. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Francisca found happiness in the simple, beautiful things that made life feel full. She loved swimming in the ocean, feeling the peace of the water and the salt water on her face. She expressed herself through creativity, oil painting, crocheting, and knitting. She took pride in caring for her plants, tending to them with patience and love, the same way she cared for the people around her. She also truly enjoyed a good laugh and a good joke, and her sense of humor brought light to any room she was in. And above all, one of her greatest joys was European soccer, especially the Real Madrid team from Spain. She rarely missed a match, cheering them on faithfully and sharing that excitement with everyone around her, a reminder of how deeply she knew how to enjoy life.

Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, Louisiana on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass.
