Mr. Frederick Fritz Francis Clasen Jr.

Frederick “Fritz” Clasen Jr. passed away at his residence on Tuesday June 1, 2010. Loving father of Judy Sinnott, Jill Martin, Jamie Cacioppo, Jan Sanders and Jennifer Burris. Father-in-law of James Sinnott, Rob Martin, Larry Cacioppo, Mark Sanders and Greg Burris. Brother of Ronald and Larry Clasen and Sandra Herrington. Son of the late Merlie Thoele and Frederick Francis Clasen Sr. Former husband of Betty Root Boudreaux. Best “Buddy” of his grandchildren, J.D. and Blake Sinnott, Kate Martin, Bobby and Meggie DeFraites, Christy, Rebecca, Emily and Molly Sanders, Brooke and Rylee Burris, Alice Cacioppo and the late Cody Martin. Also survived by four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mr. Clasen was retired from Manny’s Sanitary Supplies after over 25 years of service. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School, Class of 1957 and a devoted #1 Yankees fan, who fulfilled his dream of attending a Yankees Game on his 70th birthday with his 5 beloved daughters. A parishioner of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. Buddy will be sadly missed and forever loved by Chip, Chuck and Craig Harrell and by all who knew him. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tracey Sellars for always being there for” Mr. Fred”. Aged 72 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Monday June 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Hope Mausoleum Cemetery.
