Gary R. Vinet, Jr.

Gary R. Vinet, Jr., age 49, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was born in Marrero, Louisiana on July 26, 1973, to Helena Pappas LeBeau and Gary Ray Vinet Sr., of New Orleans.

Gary was a loving husband to his wife, Carolyn Vinet, for twenty years. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mike T, Pappas Sr., Addie “Sito” Pappas, paternal grandparents Joseph Vinet, Francine Vinet, and step-son William Mitchell. Gary is survived by and will be dearly missed by his loving family; step-father Brett LeBeau, sister Alexandra Varela (Alvaro), sons Gary McBride, Sage Landry, daughters Meghan McBride, Jordan Mascari, Arielle Griggs (Bryan), step-daughter Deven Jo Sissini (Anthony), and step-son Adam Joseph Deville.

Gary was a proud “Honey” to his grandchildren Dayton Sissini and Beige Griggs. The love in our family flows strong and deep leaving us with memories to treasure and keep in our hearts forever. Gary never met a stranger and his family finds comfort in knowing his legacy will live on through the many stories he shared.

At request by the family, a visitation for Gary will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006. Following the visitation will be a prayer service at 10:45 AM at Leitz-Eagan Chapel, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006.
