George W. Lawrence

George William Lawrence, Sr. age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Beloved husband of Dorothy Kottemann Lawrence, 66 years of marriage. Loving father of George William Lawrence, Jr. (Linda), Gayle Lawrence Dumbleton (Dale), Dianne Lawrence Wolf (George) and Kenneth John Lawrence. Proud grandfather of Melissa Dumbleton, Lynne Bordelon, Bryon Dumbleton, Steven Lawrence, Sherri Dumbleton, David Thiberville, Kimberly Murray and Michelle Thiberville-Reighley. Great grandfather of Luci, Christian, Jaxon, Lynnae, Addison, Reece and Caylee. Son of the late Beaulah Green and George Lawrence. Brother of Lloyd Lawrence, Margaret Couvillon, Naomi Batte and the late David Lawrence, Ruth Helmker, Gladys Rogers and Beverly Melancon. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 600 Eleonore St., New Orleans on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00pm.
