Gloria Devillier Tubre

Gloria Devillier Tubre, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Beloved wife of 59 years to Robert Lee Tubre. Loving mother of Robert Lee Tubre, II (Susan), Sheila Tubre Provenza (Vincent), Charles Craig Tubre (Vicky), Daniel Tubre and Terry Neil Tubre. “Mawmaw” to 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Emery and Constance Pierrottie Devillier. Sister of Irene Fontenot Dupre, Elouise Fontenot, Rowena Devillier Bordelon, Pearl Devillier Johnson, Erin Devillier, Wanda Devillier Prudhomme, Betty Devillier Soileau and the late James Neil Devillier. A native of Mamou, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA where she was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church for 42 years. She adored her life with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be sadly missed. Special thanks is extended to Hospice Compassus and especially Dr. Richard Kline and his staff for their care.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
