Gregory Warren Slaton

Our beloved Gregory Slaton departed this life on Friday, February 3rd at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie, LA. During his 58 years here on earth, he was loved by many, pets included. Greg was a graduate of Carrollton Presbyterian High School in 1976 and the University of New Orleans in 1980. His major was Hotel Restaurant and Tourism. He worked at Howard Johnson Hotels, Alexander and Dillards Travel, Pet Care Center and Carnival Cruise Lines. His loving family includes his mother, Beverly Slaton, of Metairie, LA; his cat Missy; his brothers, Jeff Slaton of Springdale, AK and Dr. Steve Slaton (Robbie) of Covington, LA; longtime girlfriend, Nancy Rohm, and her two daughters Erika and Heidi of Metairie, LA; his nieces and nephews: Rebecca (Kyle) of Lenexa, KS; Sarah of Denver, CO; Steven, Samantha and Spencer of Covington, LA and Caitlyn and Cameron of Springdale, AK. He also leaves behind one great-niece, Alice of Lenexa, KS. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 6200 Camphor in Metairie, LA 70003 at 2:00pm. In Greg's memory memorials to Parkway would be appreciated by the family or a memorial of your choice. Greg will be laid to rest at Parkway's Memorial Gardens.
