Helen Mitchel

Helen Pepiton Mitchell passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:30 p.m. She was 103 years old. Helen was a resident of Harahan, a parishioner of St. Rita Church, and a member of the Harahan Senior Center. Beloved mother of Marie Labure (Marion), Margaret "Deah" Robertson (Justin, deceased) and Joseph "Bud" Mitchell (Betty), she was preceded in death by husband Joseph, son Lawrence, parents Albert Pepiton and Eugenia Sellers Pepiton, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass at St. Rita Church (7100 Jefferson Highway, Harahan, LA) at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011. Visitation will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
