Helen Rebecca Owens

Helen was born on May 8, 1993 in Lafayette, LA to Guy and Becky Owens with older loving siblings Sarah and Rand. She had many loved aunts, uncles and cousins scattered across the country.

Helen had a passion for horses, singing, make-up, costuming and all things glitz and glam. She also loved the holidays, shopping, parties, and traveling anywhere. She enjoyed being in choir at Our Lady of Fatima and Lafayette High School. She rode horses at various stables in the Lafayette area at the age of 12, and began competing in high school with her horse Buddy. She loved all animals, especially her poodle (her baby) Rosco. She was very family oriented, and cared about them above all. She had a pure and loving spirit. Helen’s family finds comfort that she has joined her big brother, Rand and will continue being cared for by him.

She is survived by her niece Nayah Garcia, her sister Sarah Owens Rosenberg, her parents Guy Owens and Becky Schexnayder Owens, and her beloved Rosco.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday December 14th at 12:00 in New Orleans.
