

Helen Gregory Quinlivan passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2011. She was born December 8, 1928 in Warsaw, Missouri to Ethel Kincade and Raymond Joseph Gregory, both of whom preceded her in death. Sister of Beryl Weeks, Chad Gregory and the late Lore Lee Harding. Beloved wife of the late James Simon Quinlivan, Jr. Loving mother of Quintin Quinlivan, Blake Quinlivan and Linda Combs. Proud grandmother of Max “Howie” Combs and Rachel Lynn Quinlivan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
Prior to her marriage, Helen was employed in the accounting department of The California Company, a subsidiary of Standard Oil Company of California. Helen was renowned for her delicious meals and her hospitality.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home parlor, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy. in Metairie on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. After the visitation family and friends are invited to Boom Boom’s Bar, 3223 Edenborn Ave. at 18th St. in Fat City for refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Quinlivan’s name to the American Cancer Society, (Research for Brain Cancer), 2605 River Rd., New Orleans, LA 70121.
