Sister Hilda Bernadette McGinnis, Daly City, died of cancer Nov. 27,1993 at Seton Medical Center in Daly City, CA. She was 57. Sister McGinnis was born in New Orleans, and lived in San Francisco for 13 years. She attended St. Stephen's High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marillac College in Normandy, MO, a Master's degree in education from DePaul University, A Master's degree in pastoral theology from the University of San Francisco of the Society of Jesus and a degree in theology and a certificate in pastoral ministry from the University of San Francisco. She was a member of the Daughters of Charity, Kappa Delta Pi and the Permanent Diaconate program in the San Francisco Archdiocese. She was survived by a brother, Donald McGinnis. A memorial was held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans, LA. She was buried Nov. 30, 1993 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA.
