

Ian Lee Foremaster passed away on July 3rd, 2016 at the age of 70. Ian was born in Mankato, Minnesota to Harold and Nancy Foremaster. He is survived by his two sisters, Casey Scott and Jo Ellen Yarrish, his only child, Scott Foremaster, his daughter in-law, Cindy Foremaster and his two grandchildren, Emma Foremaster and Mia Foremaster. Ian grew up in southern California before joining the Air Force and was stationed in Omaha, Nebraska. He met and married Paulette Dumas while they were both stationed in Omaha. Once out of the Air Force, they moved to Dallas, Texas where he pursued a career in advertising and fine art. He was a gifted and creative artist with a great sense of humor. Ian moved to New Orleans in 1989 where he loved the culture and history of the city. He doted on his granddaughters, and loved spending time with his son and daughter in-law as well as his friends and extended family. He was a lifelong and passionate cyclist and enjoyed sailing, sports cars, and auto racing. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 24th, 2:30pm with a short service at 3:30pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA.
