Imogene (Jean) Walden

Imogene (Jean) Walden, 102, was born on November 29, 1923, in New Orleans, LA. Went to heaven on February 07, 2026 at Chateau de Notre Dame, New Orleans, LA . Jean lived a long full life surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband James (Bert) Walden, son T. Walden, son-in-law Paul Michelet and parents John and Mattie Federine.

She is survived by her daughter Suzette Walden Michelet.

Granddaughters: Monica Harris (David) of Natchez, MS, Natasha Fink (David) of Wesson MS, Jennifer Vititoe (John) New Orleans, LA, Nadia Walden (Russell) Mandeville, LA, and Rebecca Michelet, Metairie, LA, She is also survived by her son’s wife Liz Walden (T. Walden) and Juanita Larrieu.

Great-grandchildren: Bella Vititoe, Gianna Vititoe, Brayden Vititoe, Madelyn Harris-Williams (Aaron), DJ Harris, Allie Harris-Cooper (Chris), Taylor Fink Copeland (Sean), Andrew Fink (Hannah), and Kylie Fink.

Great-Great Grandsons: Ransom Mack and Sterling Mack .

We would like to thank the Staff, Nurses and Doctors of Chateau de Notre Dame for the excellent care, kindness and love they provided toward her while she was a resident.

Funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006 on Saturday, March 21, 2026, Visitation 12:00pm-2:00pm, Memorial Service 2:00pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
