Mr. J. B. Cook

J. B. Cook, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Kitty Lee Judge Cook. Father of Kitty Carolyn Fortenberry, Mary Joelyn Maestri and Frances Elizabeth Lucky. Grandfather of Robert Fortenberry, Connie Donato, Michael Fortenberry, Michelle Corwin, Mark Stephens, Matthew Lucky and Joel Lucky. Son of the late Mattie Cook Busby and James Martin Cook. Stepson of the late Joseph Busby. Brother of J.M. Cook, and the late M.T. Cook and E.C. Cook. Also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cook was a member and former deacon of Riverside Baptist Church, was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and was a WWII Army veteran. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday evening, January 6, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a funeral service at 7:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be on Friday morning, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL.
