Mr. Jacob John Elstrott Jr.

Jacob John Elstrott, Jr., age 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Mr. Elstrott was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of Juanita Elstrott for 60 years. Father of Sandra Robichaux (Randy), Randy Elstrott (Kathy) and Pam Brelet (Mike). Grandfather of Aimee Soignier (Shane), Angele Robichaux (fiancé, Edward), Risa Elstrott, Andree Robichaux and Nicholas Elstrott. Son of the late Jacob J. Elstrott, Sr. and Irma Lange Elstrott. Brother of the late Lloyd Elstrott, Anita Dupuy, Beverly Petronella and Doris McKnight. Also survived by his future step great grandson Cayden Munster and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Elstrott was a retired vice president of finance for the Bank of New Orleans. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 397 and had been in the Merchant Marines. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Monday morning, January 9, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
