Devoted and loving husband of Myra T. George after 39 years of marriage.

Loving father of Debra George, Peggy Dalon (and husband, Dennis) and David Rushing.

Proud grandfather of Daniel Landry III, Cody, Magan and Erica Graves, Logan McColley, Denny and Nick Dalon and the late Crystal Dalon.

Brother of Laura Prescia and Robert George.

Son of the late Thelma Leonard and Marion George.

Uncle of Lisa, Joey and the late Sherri O’Brien.

Also survived by his many pets, other relatives and friends.

Mr. George was a retired Security Officer with Avondale Ship Yard after 25 years of service, a United States Air Force Veteran and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Aged 68 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, former resident of Tylertown, Mississippi, Kenner, Louisiana and a present resident of LaPlace, Louisiana.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Thursday afternoon April 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
