Jeffery Edgar Rodrigue

Jeffery Edgar Rodrigue entered into Heaven on Thursday morning, January 18, 2018 from complications of Pneumonia. He was 41 years old. Beloved husband of Debbie Medeiros Rodrigue of 11 years. Devoted father and best friend of Ryan Rodrigue. Loving son of Cary and Patricia Rodrigue. Grandson of Rosemary Rodrigue and the late Edgar Jeffery Rodrigue and the late Benjamin and Marion Kempton. Brother of Michael Rodrigue (Nicole), Cari Serpas (Steven), and Brad Rodrigue (Jessica). Uncle of Rebecca, Christopher, Gracie, Braxton, Chase, Makenzie, Heather, and the late Beau Benjamin. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Jeffery was a graduate of Ridgewood Preparatory School and Loyola University New Orleans. He was employed with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for over 19 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant in the Homicide Division. During his tenure with JPSO, he assisted with the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force. At the time of his death, he was a construction superintendent for J.W. Turner Construction. Jeffery was an avid hunter and fisherman, traveling the continent to pursue various outdoor game. He was very active in and made lifelong friends through activities at Delta Playground. Jeffery’s greatest joy was his son and best friend, Ryan, who loved and emulated his dad. “We Got This” Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10:00 until 1:00.
