Jeffrey Allen Comfort

Jeffrey Allen Comfort, age 60 of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at his home. Jeff was born in Smithtown, NY on February 7, 1966 and grew up in Metairie, LA. Jeff enjoyed fixing cars and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jerome H. Comfort, Jr. and his sister-in-law, Donna Bourgeois Comfort.

Survivors include his loving mother, Judith G. Comfort and his siblings, Robert Comfort, Janet Koper (Rick), and Bridget Thibodaux (Robert). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA, on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel at 11:00 am. Burial Following Mass will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery No. 2 in New Orleans, LA.
