Jeffrey Joseph Johns, Sr.

Jeffrey Joseph Johns, age 60, of Saint Rose, Louisiana passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ernest "Red" Johns, Sr., and Iris Savoie Johns. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen Peltier Johns, his children, Kirsten and Jeffrey Johns, siblings Ernest Johns, Jr., (Pam), Keith Johns (Ann), Debbie Johns Hebert (Gary), and Warren Johns (Kelly), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Jeffrey worked for both Treasure Chest and Harrah's casinos as a casino dealer for numerous years. He enjoyed horseracing and spent many days walking horses, watching races, and loved betting on his favorite trainer's horses. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and New Orleans Saints football teams. He loved being around his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A Visitation for Jeffrey will be held on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., from 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that they keep Jeffrey and his family in their prayers.
