Jill Houidobre Garcia

Jill Houidobre Garcia passed away peacefully at her home on March 29, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 4, 1950, in New Orleans, Jill was the daughter of the late Betty and Jules Houidobre. She was preceded in death by her beloved significant other Mark Walker and her older sister, Patricia Harrison.

Jill was the kind of person anyone would be lucky to call a friend. She was selfless, full of life, and could light up any room she entered. Known for her generosity, Jill would truly give you the shirt off her back. Her beauty shined both inside and out, and her heart of gold touched everyone she met. Family and friends meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Crappel and Natalie Cimo (Craig); her siblings, Jesse and Lisa Houidobre; four grandchildren, Kristin Cramer (Ryan), Andrew Crappel (Taryn) and Cameron Crappel, and Cassie Cimo; and four great-grandchildren; Gracie, Rich, Ayden and Rowan.

Jill’s love and light will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Monday afternoon, April 6, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
