Joan Marie Guidry Muller

Joan Marie Guidry Muller was reunited with her loving husband of 60 years, Donald A. Muller, on September 4, 2025. She passed quietly at home with family by her side. Joan had just celebrated her 94th birthday on August 8th.

She is survived by her three children, Cherie Lynn Muller Yelton (Steve), Clayton George Muller (Linda), and Todd Allen Muller. She leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Andrew Clayton Muller, Casey Lee, Cooper Fred Yelton, and Kaitlyn Rebecca Muller. She has two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Eliott Muller.

Joan was an active member and leader in her community, serving on the boards and committees of many local nonprofits and charitable ventures. She served as president of the Women’s Republican Club of Jefferson Parish from 1995 to 1996. As a certified Master Gardener and Louisiana Ag Center volunteer, she put her talents to use with the Country Club Home Gardeners, even serving as president during the 2014 – 2015 term of office. She compassionately ministered to the terminally ill and their families through her service in the Stephen Ministry.

Services for Joan will be held on October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church (Metairie).
