

John Weir O’Sullivan, 70, of Destrehan, Louisiana passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 15, 2024. He was born on August 30,1953 in Nelson, New Zealand to Pearl and Ray O’Sullivan. He was a long-time employee of Lexmark International from 1997 until he retired in 2019.
John lived life large and loved to travel the world with his wife, and spend time with his daughters and grandchildren, who fondly referred to him as Paw-Paw. His most recent adventures involved a once in a lifetime RV trip to Yellowstone with his wife and sister. Through his work and travels, he made many life-long friends all over the world. It is often said that he never met a stranger. His knowledge and jokes will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda Britt O’Sullivan; his children, Ria O’Sullivan (Martin Adam Eilers), Nicole O’Sullivan, and Alexis O’Sullivan; and his grandchildren McKinley Mitchell, Jackson Eilers, Madison Eilers, Kyleigh O’Sullivan, Kennedi Waguespack, Joseph Waguespack, Korie O’Sullivan, Noah Waguespack, and Beck O’Sullivan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Ray O’Sullivan, and stepdaughter Stephanie Britt Skidmore.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be remembered. Funeral services will take place at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Wednesday January 24, 2024, at 1 PM with visitation from 11 AM -1 PM.
