Devoted husband of Charlotte Eisenberg Sanchez of 16 years.

Loving father of William Arthur Sanchez (Rita), Walter Marshall Sanchez (Fran), Leigh Tara Sanchez Redman (Rick), Christopher Page Sanchez (Teri) and the late John Augustine Sanchez III. Step-father of Kim Ballard (Kenny), Desiree Thompson and Marc Cornu.

Proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren, great grandfather of 1 great grandchild and step grandfather of 5 grandchildren.

John is also survived by numerous loving friends.

Age 79, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula.

He retired from Gray Insurance Company as their Attorney after 31 years of service. He served as the Executive Director of the Louisiana Insurance Association and was an amateur boxer at the New Orleans Athletic Club.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation from 9:00 am until funeral time.
